Post subject: | Padded Wing Seats? |
Has anyone added padding to their wing seats? After a couple of hours on the wings this weekend, my butt was tired... What kind of material could be added between the wing and the seat cover that would withstand salt water abuse for a couple of years? Thanks! |

That's a good question. I too have had sore buns after a long excursion on the Getaway. I have not tried it but I think a good improvement would be to add some thick neoprene to the seats. Maybe put a layer down before the welded tramp material? |

You may want to just bungee ( or some other attachment system ) to a float cushion. That way it could serve two purposes. |

Regarding cushions on top of the wing - I'm looking for a permanent solution along the length of the wings so I'm not interested in using cushions on top of the wings - though this would be an easier solution... I like the idea of thick Neoprene added below the fabric that currently wraps the wing. I've found a place that sells 6mm neoprene that would probably work. I'd have to probably get a slightly longer bungee. I'll probably try this in the next few weeks. Thanks |
