Hello all, I’ve searched, but I wanted to ask a question regarding mast track lubrication. In my search, I’m not sure there was a consensus (perhaps there isn’t one), but I’ll ask: What lubricants can be safely used in the track, without damaging the sail or the track, to assist in raising the main? Yeah I do. But you should be able to get it at a local shop. If you don't have a local place, it's in my store here: http://www.mariner-sails.com/PartDetail.asp?id=24913 http://www.mariner-sails.com/PartDetail.asp?id=24914 Like Matt said, the sails have a luff tape that's supposed to be slick. The reality is that it can use some help after not too many sessions. We use the stuff for rigging tramps. I use it on my long windsurfing masts. Pretty cool stuff. And unlike most of the silicone sprays, it does not attract dirt. Brian |

Well the Fall winds should be arriving any day. So your timing is good. Given the weather the last few seasons, we should be able to sail without protective gear deep into October. See ya Friday. Brian C |

Hulls are up. Crossbars in. Tramp is laced. Bridles on are bows. Wires are on mast tang. Bob is on comptip. Just about to pull the trailer out and hang the mast stand. Of course, the trailer we need is on the bottom of the pile. Brian C |

Alright then, sounds like you guys are making great progress...I'm ready for a sail this weekend. Hoping for a bit of wind, but the forecast looks marginal. Once the fall winds kick in I'll be very happy indeed. Thanks very much! Kenny |
