Just how tight/loose are these supposed to be? What's the benefit/detriment to raking the mast back? FINALLY getting some nice sailing weather here in CT! Thanks! |

Wires should be snug and not allow the rig to lean to any side when not sailing. Sailing loads will allow the lee shroud to go slack. Raking the mast aft can help the boat point higher into the wind, will de-power the boat and help keep the bows from digging in. |
