You articulated very well my own first experiences with the Wave. Hobie has done a great job. I am so very glad the Hobie got you out onto the water and we have gained another believer in the sailing and Hobie community. I hope to see you on the water some day. Cheers |

Good story - thanks for sharing! I am glad you are over your sailing inhibitions. I agree, the wave needs a tiller extension (read around here, some have created their own tiller-extenders) and inspection ports. |

Preaching to the choir, my friend! But we all do it, here, all the time. My first time on a WAVE was in the Carribean, also. Antigua, to be exact. I absolutely adore my WAVE, and so does everyone else on the beach as I assemble/dissasemble her. One 12 year old girl on a kayak hammered me with questions as she paddled like mad to keep up with me, finally heaving a huge sigh and exclaming "Gee, mister, I really really like your boat," Yep. me too. |

Muddy Waters, great to hear your story. I'm from the other end of the Red River Valley, Wahpeton ND, and our Wave has become one of the things we most look forward to in the summers. As one northern neighbor to another, thanks for sharing, and stay warm. Paul B. PS - I was in Gimli many years ago for the Windsurfing Championships, you have a great place there! |
