In preparation for the new season I was going over my Wave's hardware today and noticed that each of my (new style) rudders came shipped with a spare split ring attached to the lanyard of each rudder lock pin. A handy thing to know in an emergency. Anyone else's Wave come equipped with this bonus? |

Mine had the spares on the rudders, and I think, a spare with the forestay adjuster. Having lost a few over the years, I bought an assortment box, and keep several spares around the boat. Cheap insurance! It's really nice of Hobie to throw those in! |

The extra rings are to keep the pins in the rudders for trailering or storage. |

Thanks for that. I now see the holes in the ends of the rudder pins to accommodate the spare split rings. |
