friendly regatta at Lake Poinsett, South Dakota. (all sail boats welcomed) June 19th, registration starting at approx. 10:30am, race starts at 1:00pm |

I forgot to mention that the race head quarters is at Arlington Beach , On the South side of the lake. approx 1 1/2 miles East of South Dakota highway 81, just before you get to the Methodist Church Camp. |

the regatta went off as planned the boats were ready the wind was less than 10mph at 30min from stating time the last min. instructions were being given and the famous words were spoken it going to be a great race. then we climbed about and the wind totally stopped. the cottonwood tree leave had no movement. We had the race anyway shorting the route and welcoming any breeze. Next year it will be better. |
