Post subject:  twisted hiking straps

Hi everybody, I just had a look at a secondhand Wave and noticed that the hiking straps (the bits of webbing you stick your foot under on the tramp) were twisted: that is, between each point where the strap was stitched to the tramp, it was twisted 180 degrees. Is this the way it's meant to be, or has someone done a shonky repair job?

Welcome to the club (soon)! You'll have lots of fun with your Wave, especially when it's windy enough to use the straps.

That's the way they're supposed to be. The twist makes it easier to grab or slip your toe under, since they're not lying flat on the tramp.

Pretty good idea, I think!

Thanks Indywave, that makes sense. Can't wait to get out on the water!
