Can I get an (Anti Pitch Pole Hydro Foil) for a Hobie Wave? If so what is the cost?

There is not an anti pitchpole foil designed for anything but the Hobie 16 (can fit a 14) that I have seen.

Hobie should make one for the Wave.

The anti-pitchpole device is called a mainsheet.

Of course you need to place yourself properly on the boat, but you simply need to lift the throttle.

Wave is fairly easy to put the bow down under water in a trough. I would like something like in the Hobie Parts & Accessories 2010-11 part #30110 for a Wave. I want to keep up my speed & not flip the boat.

I think I am just heavy enough (190ish lbs) to keep that little bastard from pitching all the way over. I have buried the hulls past the crossbar a million times and have not gone over, but I have done that whole spin thing when the rudders come out of the water and the boat rotates 90 degrees and hits the water. That's kinda fun (unless you're racing) but the boat won't go over frontways or sideways with me hiked out. Just too fat I guess.

The traveler kit also helps. Travel down a bit to keep the boat more level. Not class legal for racing, but works well.

You wont want a anti pich hydro foil on the bow of a wave. As soon as that foil goes underwater its just going to dig the bow into the water more. At that point you are going to pitchpole. Aside from getting T-foil rudders, the only real way to stop it is as described above... Sheet out, and get your weight back.

Personally I think pitching on the wave is a blast and I look forward to it.

What is a traveler kit? What is the catalog # for it & what is the cost?

The kit adds a track on the rear beam and a traveler car with control cleat. This system is like the H14 or H16 main traveler.

# 39250000 MAIN TRAVELER KIT - CLUB WAVE ($229.00 USD / Oct 2010)

Does not work on a Classic (SE) Wave with the aft tramp straps.

I put a traveler on my SE just had to do somemodifications. Results the tramp is tighter, I don't take it apart anyway. There has been pictures of others that have also fixed up their SE you would have to look it up in past blogs
