Post subject: | Hobie Wave Lessons |
I used to sail (El Toros and Sunfish) as a kid on the lakes of Oregon and Connecticut but fell in love with the Hobie Cat Wave we picked up (on e-Bay) after a trip to St. Lucia. We go to Union Lake in South Jersey for a fun fresh water lake sail, but are finally thinking about overcoming our (ok ... my) fear of underwater ocean creatures and considering sailing on the bays to get decent wind. My question is whether there is anyone who could help this lake sailor learn to sail on the bays without fear of life and limb? I'm even thinking that my husband and I should try bay sailing before making those multiple hour drives to lakes in PA which aren't really that much better than good old Union Lake. We are in search of good wind, but hesitant to try the bay without guidance. Your thoughts? Jerseycris |
