Our seat pads seem in OK shape but are leaving a blue residue on skin. Any tips for "sealing" the current pads or replacing them economically would be appreciated. We are enjoying the ease of sailing of the Wave and the much shorter set up time than the 16 and 18. Fair Winds and thanks in advance for any help! |

New pads are available from your Hobie dealer and they are very easy to replace. You might want to reseal the round hatches while you are at it. |

As stopgap, try Armor All, rubbed in. |

I replaced my seat pads with Hydroturf. Cut them out from a sheet myself. Lots of colors/patters to choose from. Don't tell anyone I used to have a Waverunner.... Sealing the access ports is a good idea too, I was getting some water in the hull, as I store the boat outside. With the new pads and sealing the port, dry as a bone. |
