| Post subject: | Will barnacles grow on a Hobie Wave |
I would like to leave my Hobie Wave in the water because I have a seawall and no way to lift it out of the water and do not want to trailer it every time I want to sail. Will it grow barnacles at Sanibel? If so, any suggestions on getting it over a seawall or preventing barnacles. Thanks, Betsy |

Barnicles will grow on almost anything given enough time. I've seen them on plastic, fiberglass, wood, metal, and even bottom paint that was supposed to be proof against then. Post a picture or two of your seawall and maybe we can suggest a means of surmounting it. Cheers, J |

Pictures would help but low seawalls can be defeated by a couple of 2x6s, some old carpet and a length of rope. |
