Post subject:  getting back on the water

just bought a wave from a nabor. its been sitting in his yard on the trailer never used. basicly new never in water. the sail is rotten along with the bag and im looking on line for a new sail but there 5 times what a payed for the boat are there any reasonable sails out there? are all waves the same?havent sailed in 30 years what a way to get back into the sport.

Welcome back to the water Rik!

I believe all Wave sails have been the same over the years.

You may find something used online but your best bet is to consult your closest Hobie dealer, which it sounds like you may have already done. The sail is just as important as the hull so if you scored a great deal on the boat, I would just try to look at it positively and say that gives you some extra cash for a new or like new sail.

Hope you find something soon. Nothing worse than having a new toy that you can't play with.
