I can rig it, with jib, from trailer to water in 20. solo.The boat is easy to rig solo and a snap with a friend and once you have your order of operations down, well....

| Post subject: | How long to rig a wave? |
I'm in the process of cat shopping. I like the idea of the 16's speed but I know it can take about a half hour to rig. I'm convincing myself to buy a wave. I like that I can drag up and down the beach and rig it up fast. How fast can you guys get your waves rigged from the trailer and into the water? |

10 Minutes easy. We used to do a demo at boat shows of the original classic Wave. Pile of parts (hulls, crossbars, tramp mast etc...) to fully rigged in 8 Minutes with two of us. |

It is SOOO easy to rig the Wave by itself it will spoil you. You will likely to sailing a lot more just because it is so easy to put the mast up by yourself. I see that you are in Florida, there are more and more Waves getting together at regattas now for fun, yet competitive, racing. A lot of us with Waves used to have H16's, H18's, H20's, Nacras. Instead of spending all of that time setting up and putting away, we are going sailing. Get the Wave. |
