Post subject: | Too far to drive to measure backrests.... |
My wave is at the lake 1+ hour away in the middle of nowhere. I cant measure and buy them where it is stored. I'd have to drive all the way out, measure, drive back to buy, then again out to install. I need to find new padding for the backrests locally if possible. Anyone care to share information on: Tube diameter Pad thickness, 1/2" or more? I don't want too thin and the backrest covers fall off or for that matter, cannot get to close around the padding if I buy too thick. Pad length? I can get 6' sticks at the hardware store for under $20. I cannot, repeat cannot, find info on it on Google anywhere! Thanks for saving me about a 3 hour round trip to measure. Any recommendations on what to use or where to buy or what to avoid? |

I just purchased new padding for mine, so the info is fresh in my mind. The backrest tube is 1-7/8" dia. The padding ID is 2" The padding is 3/4" thick, so the padding OD is 3-1/2" The padding is about 86-1/2" long, so you need three 6' pieces. I purchased mine online here: http://www.drillspot.com/products/38469 ... Insulation It shipped to me from Grainger, so if you have a Grainger near you, maybe they will have it. Jim |
