I played around today with the tacking tip you gave me. That works like a charm. I can purposely place myself in irons and then sheet in tight and sit on the side I want the Wave to turn and sure enough it moves in that direction. Then just hop over to the windward side. I am telling you folks, to know tradisrad is to never get stuck on irons again! |

Started off around 12-15 and dies to almost nothing towards the end. If you are familiar with the Lighthouse Lakes paddling trails just off the causeway between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas, I launched there and tacked up the channel to the inter coastal waterway, sailed past the Lydia Ann Lighthouse, then back to the ferries that cross the channel to Port Aransas, and then back to Lighthouse Lakes Park. The wind died just as I was heading north on the channel back to the park. |
