I've started looking for a Wave so I can do away with a trailer and carry it on the back of my truck. (Modified flatbed) What year did Hobie change the Wave to a 3 piece tramp? I understand the newer 3 piece is more desirable as it keeps the boat hulls tighter together. |

We have made both styles for decades and still offer both. The "Classic" was soon joined by the "Club" 3 Piece.... I think the first year of production. Early classics had hooks for the tramp wire, bolted to the hulls. In about 2000, we made the hulls universal by designing a hook that slid into the tracks, so you can change trampoline styles easily. All Waves since then have had the tracks. |
