My boat is new and I want to take care of it. At the moment I am trailering to the lake a couple of times per week and installing/removing the rudders each time.

Over time, will all this on-and-off cause the pin's attachments to the hull to weaken? I expect the rudder holes to wear a bit, or maybe the pins themselves, and that doesn't worry me as they can be replaced. I just don't want to stress/weaken the connection points in the hull itself.

I have a hobie box to carry my sail and the rudders. The EZ Lok rudders are so easy to remove, I do so whether it's a 10 mile trip to the lake, or a 7 hr ride to the Gulf.

I've never noticed any type of wear.

Driving down the road with your rudders on the boat will put stress on the rudder pintles.
Removing/installing the rudders won't hurt anything.
