Has anyone installed shock cord to lace the Club tramps ? Was it an improvement ? |

I've not used shock cord to lace the tramps and I dont think it would work all that well. The idea is a tight tramp and shock cord will give a loose tramp unless you tighten so much that the stretch is out of the cord and then it's pointless. my 2 cents |

If you lace it tight enough then the shock is all gone from the shock cord. I want you to lace it with 3/16 cord as tight as you can (gardening gloves), And then do the whole thing again with more cord. When you have the second cord tight enough the first will be loose. Let the tramp sit in the sun for a day or so and then repeat. The 3/16 bends around the grommets better and you can get it tighter. "Tight tramps make fast boats." Know you don't care but the cord comes in different colours so you can coordinate it with your tramp. |

You can place a lot of load on the grommets and tracks using shock cord. The tramp is also integral in the structure of a Wave, so we don't advise using shock cord on the Wave or Getaway. The tramps are what holds the hulls and cross bars together. |
