How are the bridle screws held into the hull? There is a little star crack around both screws on both sides and the deck surface may have moved up a millimeter. Are these molded in metal sleeves? |

The fittings are molded-in. Depends on the vintage as to what the fitting is. We started with aluminum. We changed to stainless and ended up with brass / bronze. |

OK. These are standard plastic inserts with knurled bodies, correct? How thick is the hull here? Do they stay put unless abused? |

To be clear again: We started with aluminum. We changed to stainless and ended up with brass / bronze. The insert looks like a dog bone and is well covered by plastic. Very rare to have an issue except for the old aluminum ones that could corrode and expand which can fail the plastic. We made a stainless strap kit to hold those in place, so over all... not been a problem with complete failure. |
