new Wave user (and looking at purchasing one in a couple days)..... It was the first sailboat I've used where you push down to release the main sheet from the block! is it something you get used to? I've also notice in videos that often people have their foot over the sheet right by the block..... is that to release it with your foot? seems it would work, but I don't like the idea of having my foot near the bite * more important on larger boats for sure! anyone changed it our to release from the top? thanks! |

The downwards release is prefered. You can change the angle of the jaws to a higher position which would require you to lift the sheet as you pull in to cleat. Pulling further and holding down or give a quick up/down snap of the line to release it. |
