Common practice is to leave drain plugs out when not sailing. Rain runs down the transom and goes into the hull. Either I could make something to divert water from running down the transom, or make an elbow plug opening downward. The odd thread won't help with option 2. Any proven ideas on keeping the hull breathing but dry? Thanks. |

Rubber plugs with no center. Like plugs used in HS chemistry with straws extending out? Just a thought.... Good luck! |

I leave my wave outside in the sun. I understand I need to leave the drain plugs out when not in use, but when it rains, the hulls get some water in it. Looking in the hulls there is a lot of mildew in there from the rain water, is that a problem? Am I correct, do I leave the drain plugs out? Does anybody have a suggestion on keeping the rain water out when the plugs are out? |
