Post subject: | Classic vs. Club Wave |
I am looking at purchasing a new Hobie Wave and see there are both club and classic versions available. The only difference from what I can tell is the "club" model has a 3-piece trampoline whereas the "classic" model has a 1-piece trampoline. Are their any advantages of one over the other? Would a 3-piece trampoline be easier to replace down the road? Any advice from Wave owners would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

I would only get the Classic if I planned to disassemble for storage more than once a year. It was designed to be quickly assembled and disassembled. The Club is stiffer due to the three piece tramp and has more robust wire attachments. |

You can literally set a Hobie Wave, either version, from completely apart to ready to sail in 20 min by yourself. I would have thought that the 3 pc tramp would be better for racing, but alot of the TOP Wave racers have the Classic version with some tweaks to make the tramp tighter. |
