I'm adding a jib to my wave, and I have a couple questions.
(1) The aftermarket sail I have has a grommet right at the tack. What is the distance supposed to be between the tack of the jib and the spreader bar? I'm also thinking of using two cables from each side of the spreader bar up to the tack rather than a line directly to the spreader bar, the though being the two cables will keep tack centered, where the single line to the spreader bar will let the tackmove around depending on how tight the halyard is tightened.
(2) What are your thoughts on putting hanks on the luff of the sail along the forestay?

thanks in advance..

This what you have in mind? Not my picture, saved the idea to use on my jib. Just never got around to it. Hanks? Yes. I used 3, but 4 would be better.
