Hi all, new to the forum and the hobie wave.

When attaching the lateral mast cables (stays?) what are the benefits of attaching them higher or lower? I noticed better (easier) tacking by attaching in the 5th hole vs the 4th hole. What is the theory?

Thanks

Patrick

Mast rake. Further aft might make tacking harder, but helps keep the bows up and helps the boat point higher.

Always adjust the forestay and shrouds to keep the rig snug.
