One of the clips holding the tramp cable has a broken screw head any ideas how to remove it |

Screw extraction is difficult. There are screw extractor tools... reverse direction drill bits. If you can grind the remaining threaded stud flat it can help to keep the drill centered. Must be lots on the net about it. |

Can you post a pic of the offending screw? That would help in knowing what to suggest. If you can get vice grips around what is left of the head, sometime ls that will give you enough leverage to get it turning. Or get a Dremel like tool and grind a notch in the top of the screw, into which you can insert a flat head screwdriver and back it out. |

I've had pretty good luck with this style screw extractor. Need a reversible drill or better, an impact driver set on low torque. https://www.lowes.com/pd/SpeedOut-8-1-8 ... 1000170531 But if that doesn't work, you'll probably have to drill out the screw and re-tap the hole. I often end up having to go a size larger screw. |
