Post subject:  Painting hulls

I finally got around to my project boat - it's been sitting around since April. I'm abandoning the whole "short wave" project - I was surprised by divorce filing and I sold the house. My boat will now be open water fun not lake fun.

I've been trying to wet sand the hulls and make the few epoxy repairs. Someone put lots of marine paint on the bottom.

I want to paint them with some bright white paint. I heard there's a special plastic krylon that adheres to kayaks.

Any paint recommendations on painting the hulls a nice fresh bright white?

Krylon Fusion. I've used it a lot over the years, worked perfectly on some projects, others it flaked and pealed. For example; four fender extensions on my JEEP, 3 never gave me any problem, the 4th needed constant retouching. Maybe with better prep it will last. I think I used scuff pads and alcohol wipe down. Anyway, that's my experience. Also, these were rattle cans, don't know of any other product, but guess you'll need a lot. Don't believe I would tackle that on my Bravo.

Thank you. I used the white fusion after cleaning the hulls down. Took like 12 cans to get it well. Seems to have held up ok for a 1st outing. Will touch up as needed I guess.
