I ordered a jib. I have the parts all set and ready to install (cleats, brackets, spreader, etc). The only missing item is the block for the halyard and the pigtails. I can't seem to find the pigtail dimensions. Anyone have the length of the halyard block wire pigtail and any at the bottom? I need to make one. |

It's been a while since I've had my Wave, but I recall the block/pigtail at the hounds being 4"-6" long. I dont think it really matters and you can easily make your own. As far as the bottom I used a shackle to attach it to the fore-stay adjuster. |

You're going to love having the Jib. Some people report that that you lose a little speed when fully sheeted in, but for me, the ease of tacking is worth it. Especially if you don't race. One bit of info. Be prepared for the Jib sheet to get tangled up on the mast cleat. The link below discusses the problem, and some solutions. I velcro a piece of canvas around the base of the mast that covers the cleat and wrapped up halyard. Others have different solutions... https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5618 |

Loose speed I actually gain more speed. this is how you stop it from getting tangled get some bungles and make it like mine in pics. just remember to put the lines above the bungee and not under. you will make the mistake once but then you'll remember ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk |

As the jib lines just connects to the jib sheet with a connector with your red lines going around the mast and going though the swivel cleat and the end of the rope ties together..
