i have a wave and wanted to make the most beneficial improvement to its speed. i dont know whether i should add a jib or spinnaker. any suggestions? :)

I like both on a wave, i think the spin is a bit more speed friendly than the jib.

have you thought about a traveler? Hobie now has a Wave kit.

Concerning adding a traveler; I have the optional traveler and I just LOVE it. You can trim you cat to get the most out of it on all points of sail. Because of this, I believe you are squeezing all that you can out of her in the performance category.

I cannot say enough positive things about owning a Wave with the optional traveler kit. I'd also like to add that the pitch pole possibility on the Wave is minimized due to the traveler system.

I'd really urge you to consider getting the traveler before purchasing the Jib or the hooter.

Part number 39250000 - $204.90. The kit comes with track, traveler car, swivel cleat and rivets. It's on page 24 of the latest catalog. No picture. Sorry... I don't have a link.
