Post subject:  Installing Jib with no eyestrap on spreader bar?

I bought a used Wave last year that came with a jib, spreader bar, cam cleats, and halyard, but no eyestrap on the spreader bar. I didn’t think much of it at the time since I was focused on getting her running, replacing a few worn parts and getting to know the boat. This season I’d like to give the jib a go, but am looking for a simple solution for how to attach the lower jib clew to the spreader bar, ideally without drilling/riveting. Any ideas appreciated!

Line looped around the bar a few times and cinched down tight could create a spot to hook the tack.
