Post subject:  Ram Rod holders
What is the best hardware mounting option for the Ram Rod holders found in the link below. There are 3 options: stainless screws, stainless bolt and nuts, or well nuts? If I use nuts and bolts, is there room to reach below to thread the nuts?

In my opinion, always go stainless nuts and bolts with , if possible, oversized washers inside the hull area and nyloc nuts. You will find it tight inside the hull area, depending on which kayak you have, where the bolts go for these, especially on the right side, where you will need to be careful of the rigging for the rudder cables, ie: the Down cables with the locking cleat.

But i try to avoid any screws especially for high stress fittings like rod holders.

Depends entirely on what kind of boat you have, and if there is a hatch near the location for your install that would allow thru-bolting. I always try to use thru-bolted SS bolts and locking-type nuts for best holding power. I also like to use a backing plate (aluminum or poly) beneath the Ram ball mounts for maximum strength, since it is extremely unlikely this would ever pull out. However, well nuts have a very mixed record and I would never use these unless it was a very unusual type of mounting. Here are a couple of pics of some of my setups.
