Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum and I'm also new to kayak fishing, although I've paddled yaks in my younger days and I've been fishing all my life (I'm 64). Upcoming friday will be my first try with the combination and I'm very excited about it. I'll be fishing in the archipelago of Stockholm, Sweden where I live, and the water is still very cold. Stockholm sits on the same latitude as Skagway Alaska you know, so if it weren't for the Gulf Stream we still would have ice all over the Baltic. Anyway, my new drysuit arrived from England yesterday, my Humminbird 778c sits in it's place and friday is a holiday so it's fishing and golf for an extended weekend. I've been reeding this forum for a couple of weeks and since I know that all human knowledge compiled is to be found there I have a question: I'm going to Miami Florida in october to visit family, and my son-in-law and I usually fish the canals in that area and we occasionally also do some blue water fishing, and now I wonder if anybody knows of a place to rent Hobie yaks somewhere around Miami or Ft Lauderdale. I mean rent for like a couple of weeks or a month. I'd be grateful for any tips on the matter. And you'll get reports from the cold waters if and when I catch some northern pikes (caught one 15,5 pounder from the dock last saturday).
