Dear fellow members of this forum,

I recently bought myself a Hobie mirage outback kayak and am now fitting a fishfinder to the kayak. On a short film from kayakfishingnationstore about the ways of installing a fishfinder kit on the Outback that I saw on Youtube I noticed that one of the staff members used a 'grommit' or 'grummit' to guide the transducer cable through the hull of the kayak. Regrettably, I've tired in vain to locate such a 'grommit' or 'grummit' here in Holland.

Would any reader on this forum be so kind as to inform me how I can obtain one or two of these 'grommit' or 'grummit' to guide the transducer cable through the kayak hull?

Looking forward to any reaction,

Very best wishes from Holland,

Theo Boiten

Its possible that you can get them shipped overseas. We buy them over here from "Radioshack".

See the link below.

If you are fishing in saltwater, make sure the metal parts are all stainless steel. I use this from West Marine:

It comes with stainless steel fasteners. I hope this helps.

^^^

Same one I used above, mine didn't come with the SS screws I think someone took them out of the package. I had some SS screw laying around so no big deal. Those work well, and look good installed. Got my FF installed last night on the PA, and hoping to make it out over the weekend and brave the mid 20-30deg weather.
