I love that install. I might be relocating my transducer now. Let us know how it holds up. |

I am trying to figure out how I can dig a channel up the rudder to make the wire it flush with the surfaces. Gimme a couple of days. I think very slowly ![]() |

I don't think the rudder is thick enough to use a drimmel tool or something of that sort, and cut a channel into for the transducer cable. Maybe a small groove cut into the rudder and then some epoxy covering the cable and also using the epoxy as an adhesive to attach the cable to the rudder. If you used the epoxy and if you had the transducer cable go bad then trying to remove the cable from the rudder might be difficult. I like the way you currently have it set up. I would like to see some more pictures of your install it looks very well done. Battery location, head location, cable routing, all the good stuff to get a better idea of all the details. |

Hey Bing! I just purchased a Hummingbird depthfinder and I really like your transducer install. I would like to do it with my PA, but I'm not sure how you ran your wire from the transducer to the head unit. Would you mind sharing a few more details of just how you completed your install? Be blessed, Boiler |

Seems like a good idea. Can't really tell from the pix... is it a Twist-N-Stow rudder? Wondering if the cable affects the ability to bring it up... Are you bringing the cable into the hull and then back out to the fishfinder? |
