any time ... here's better photos of the ones by the seat I used a ratchet nut driver, and largest stainless washers. One could put the "extensions" to raise them up higher if wanted, but I haven't. I went with Ram 1-1/2" balls all over this time ... I like them better than the Scottys I used on my last kayak. I don't recall the model number of the tubes with the built-in hole for the carobiner/leash, but they are plastic instead of the heavy metal ones I put up front nect to the Hobie extensions (which also have a hole for a carobiner/leash) but most tubes don't have that, kinda tough to find. NZot that big a deal I guess, one could always just tie a leash to the ballmount too. Just drill holes smaller than the bolts, and look inside prior to drilling so you position the holes/bolts carefully ... don't fray any rudder lines. ![]() ![]() |

Those are Ergodyne GloWear Ranger Hats, available at lots of safety/Industrial Supply places Price = about $10.00 to $12.00 They run a little large, I initially got the larger size, but last time got four of the small ones and they are plenty big Why 4 more? Niece in high school keeps borrowing them. 1 for car in case of a flat tire at night, 1 for kayak, and I wear one everywhere I go, grocery store, Walmart, to the bank, etc Just Google .......... ergodyne glowear ranger hat The hats have the best chinstrap lock thingy for windy days of any I've found, and of course I like them, been wearing them for years ( and I have a huge collection of other brands of caps/hat "worn once or twice hats/caps" I didn't like as much) |
