Post subject:  Any hobie sport or outback fishermen in the hudson river?

Hello everyone
I live in north jersey and found out that I'm only 5 min away from the englewood boat basin which has a beach launch. This means that I would be able to launch my 'soon to purchase' kayak there. I'm about 5'7" and 173 lbs. I'm really considering a mirage sport only because I drive a small 3 door car and live in an apartment. Is there anyone with experience in the lower Hudson river vacinity who can also advise me on the mirage sport and fishing/kayaking in the lower Hudson river area?

Hello there

I'm glad to get a reply. do the currents in the lower Hudson get choppy from the traffic and weather? Does it get too big for the sport to handle? And how do you deal with it? Also have you tried sailing the sport there because the winds can get very gusty.

Thx for your time.
