I have a specs question about the livewell. I understand that the livewell uses a 6volt battery and that the pump is made by attwood. I have never seen a 6 volt pump--is the pump rated for 12volts? I am thinking about building my own livewell--does it work out well to use a 6volt battery with a 12 volt pump? thanks |

Yes, it is 12v rated, but at that, the flow is too strong. It works great for our use with 6v. |

If you own a Hobie, the livewell Hobie sells is terrific. It fits in the scupper holes and has a clean look. It is worth the money. |

The paint is a 2 part acrylic paint mixed to match color at Napa Auto parts. Applied by a throw away rechargeable hand paint sprayer bottle avail at West marine or most auto parts stores. It has held up perfect for 2 seasons. I stripped it dowd, taped emblems off, ruffed it up with a plastic buff pad, wiped it with acetone solvent and applied Mad dog etching primer solvent, then paint. Paint was mixed 3 parts paint to 1 part catalyst. |
