Hannes, Tyler & myself headed out in our Hobie kayaks around 6:30 in search of snapper and grouper. All fish were caught on dead cigs, and we really caught a little of everything. Tyler caught his personal best snapper from a yak, it was 10 or 11 lbs . We caught quite a few flounder as well, and while bouncing a grub I manage to catch a squirrel fish. Being the nice person that I am, and it was Tylers birthday I gave it to him. not more then 15 seconds down he gets slammed and brings up a nice 28" gag. The bait was still in good shape so I dropped it down only to get slammed immediately, then hung up. grouper 1 Linda 0. Anyway snapper, grouper (gag & red), big lane, flounder, sharks, kings, trigger. It was a beautiful morning and a great day on the water. I also practiced taking some underwater shots of sharks with my camera.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
