Does any one know where the wire seals used in this video come from?? They look perfect for the job. Steve |

KayakFishNation.com made the video. Thier online store link is www.oceansidediveandkayak.com. The part is called a "clamshell wire clamp". However, I do not see that part listed on their site. I'd also like to have a couple to install my new Humminbird. I'll keep looking and will let you know if I find them. Please let me know if you have any luck. |

Thanks Hsv... I tried their website also but the clamp is not listed and they do not have an email contact listed. I would phone but the time zone difference to Australia makes it difficult to catch them. Maybe one of the US forum readers could ring them and post some more info. I also have a new Piranha 160, $99 at BCF at present ![]() Regards Steve |

> I have tracked then down... Dude, you are awesome! I've spent the last several evenings surfing the West Marine web site without luck. Same for all other web sites. The only part that appears on my marine part sites is a bulky (and ugly) screw-type clamp which cannot pass the connectors on my Humminbird wires. |

DrYak wrote: Is acetone OK to clean the hull before glueing the transducer?. Regards Steve On my replacement Adventure, I used 'duct seal' (electricians putty) to mount transducer to hull. Works great, no waiting for goop to cure, no problems with air bubbles, always stays flexible and easy to remove and reset if need be. Costs about $2 for a 1lb block @ Home Depot. Just make a pancake shape from 1/2 the block, push transducer into it and press onto inside of hull where you want to mount it. ![]() |

Bob That stuff looks great. I have not seen it in Australia. I will go hunting at the hardware store. BTW I have been assured that acetone is safe to prep the surface. Steve |

The ones I used on my HB are made by "SEA Sense" and work great. they also make through hull 2 and 4 wire plugs that work great. I'll try to find some pics. My local Hobie dealer carries them all in stock. Good luck, Phill |
