For all of you who are not fishing the tournament. The shop I fish for is doing a mothership trip. hear is the info. We've put together our own mothership trip on the Islander out of Point Loma and have scheduled it for a day that's easy to remember, April 15th. The trip is limited to 22 kayak anglers and runs for 1.5 days. Load your kayak and gear on Friday evening before the 8pm departure. The boat travels overnight to San Clemente Island with an early morning arrival. Fish all day from sunrise to sunset. The boats and gear are reloaded on the boat for overnight travel back to San Diego for an early morning arrival. Price of $295 includes meals, non-alcoholic drinks, bait and sleeping accomodations. Bring cash for beer and crew tips. $100 deposit required at time of reservation. Balance is due 2 weeks before departure. Cash and checks only. Expect to fish for yellowtail, halibut, white seabass and calico bass. Itinery subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions.
