Was wounding if it possible to have the same controls for the rudder as the mirage drive kayaks on a quest 11 with the up and down controls on both sides one for up the other for down? if there is a kit please post. |

There is a rudder kit available - part number 78502 (available from any Hobie Dealer - call toll free 1800hobie49 - or click the dealer finder here: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/dealers/search/ ) The up/down function is external and not run into the hull to make it simpler to install. Shoot me an e mail and I'll send you a copy of the installation instructions to look at. |

Ah - OK.... didn't catch that in your first post You 'could' do this internally ran up/down setup, it would just be custom... we don't have a 'kit' version of the parts - you can buy the individual pieces easily though, they are all available separately from your Hobie supplier (I notice you're in Australia - so you'd have all the same parts that we do here in the USA as well) You'll need some turning blocks for the strings to run around - screws and nuts to mount the blocks, and of course the handles and lines. All the parts can be seen and part numbers found on pages 36 & 37 of our accessory catalog. If you don't have a printed copy - its also a free download here: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/catalog-request/ |

Yes - the Quest 11 has all the same hole indexes there if you choose you can drill them out and install tubes like on the Revo (or any other Mirage kayak for that matter) FYI: The Quest and Revo 11's are only 2012 models, neither were available as 2011 models. |
