Trying to come up with some different ways to carry my fish that I catch. I'm talking about 15lb fish and up. So how does everyone carry their fish? |

I guess it would depend on the type of fish and water that you are fishing. Personally I use a Polar bear cooler bag. It is large enough to hold Red drum, trout, and flounder. If I go offshore and target Kings, I take my cooler. So people use large metal fish clips but be careful with those. I have heard of sharks or gators grabing fish at the side of the boat. |

These are really popular here in NZ http://www.fishingdirectnz.co.nz/kayak- ... 4_138.html We are more than a bit paranoid about having bleeding fish around when it comes to sharks here in NZ- don't know if you have seen the utube clip of Jim Sammond nearly losing his hand to a shark when fishing for yellow tail king fish over here. I strap a big cooler into the well in the back of the Outback with some freezer packs inside. Fish kept chilled are far superior in their eating quality. |

Yup you gotta watch out for Kiwi sharks - especially if you are a Californian kayak fishing star in a Ocean Kayak ![]() http://www.kayakfishingnz.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=7203 |
