I just got an old oasis kayak which I would like to use for fishing. The price was right but it does not have any hatches, which are readily accessible. I was looking at the space right in front of the seat and noticed that while it's molded for a sail, it would be possible to put an 8" hatch. There is just one drainage channel which I would need to patch around. Here is a photo. I'm fairly competant with my mini-router but I'm not sure about sealing around the hull. Any suggestions would be helpful. Hope the image loads
