I fished West Bay with fellow Hobie team mate Scotty & Rick of Rick's Kayak Adventures this weekend. We launched about 7 am to cloudy skies & a about 15mph winds & outgoing tide. We fished a area with sand bottom & mixed grass. i really didnt see any signs of bait or fish when we got started but, about an hour into our trip we started into a minor fishing period & started to see some bait getting busted. for the next 2 1/2 hours i had 9 trout to hand & several blow ups on tops & a few lost fish. all fish were caught on 4" shad assassins... they went 19"-25" .... only kept 6 for the house.
