Good day on the water today. Ended up with three reds in the kayak (18-20-26") Had a 30" red to the kayak and was netting him when he decided that the net was not a good place to be

Nice catch!

Looking to head up that way for some Reds soon. Do you fish the tides up there?

Yes, fish the tides or you don't fish at all  We have big tides and you need to plan your fishing around them. Different fishing for different tides.

Very nice. How did you prepare the fish? I've never caught or eaten redfish.

Cleaned it and handed to my wife  One of her fav's is to pan cook it in olive oil with green olives and bacon along with some other spices.

Ah I see, sounds good.
Most times I hear "blackened" Redfish as the preferred method, but I'm not fond of that prep style, too many people take the liberty of confusing blackened with overcooked

Nice Red on that picture... It is always exciting to hook up a Red anytime, anywhere...! Although not the most productive June so far this year.....I have managed to find some Reds every time I go out. We are having trouble with our water quality at the Lagoon...luckily it is not hurting the fish.
