Celebrated my day off from work/Veteran's Day as a veteran and by enjoying some time on the water - 13 hours total, but 9 of it was wading the flats. I ended up catching a fat red and a beastly speck that had my adrenaline pumping in the hopes that it would be my first citation. You'll have to read the story for the outcome..... Good catches! I have yet to catch my first redfish, but as the offshore weather degrades during "winter" here in South FL, I might go inshore to try my luck. |

Thanks - FL weather degrading? Gasp - you might actually have to wear fishing pants?  Our water temps are creeping ever so close to the 50 degree mark in some spots. Cold weather gear for sure up here in VA. Seriously though, the fight of a slot red is awesome on light tackle. Get on 'em if you can! |
