Are there caps available that can protect the exposed cable ends or is a baggy and rubber bands it.

I had the same question. Was wondering if I just put the end in plasti-dip if it would "peel" off easy enough to make a cap that could be put back on and off again after. Then found this on another site. Sounds better. Haven't gone looking for 'em yet but plan to before I pull the PA out of the basement after the ice melts.

"Here's another way to keep the connector dry when it's not plugged into the device.

I purchased a little rubber cap from the hardware store. They're designed to be put over the threaded end of a bolt as a way to keep a protruding bolt from scratching things. They come in several small sizes and they stretch a bit to fit tightly over the end of your connectors.

Keeps the water out of connector even when submerged. When it's not on the connector I store the cap on a plastic peg that sticks up out of my sonar mount."
