So far so good as far as, pole holders, Engel coolers, Lowrance 3X fish finder and other things. But my wife was trying to find a bimini top for her Outback and everywhere she looked, the Mantis Pro Jr. was discontinued. After researching on this forum, I found the company Protecht. I'm wondering if this is the same product or a cheap knock-off? And they are not very clear on the mount or hardware for your particular model. Has anyone purchased their products? Also, I'm dressing up my PA-12 with some decals and such from all the companies I use for fishing and other things. It really annoys me that after ALL the money I spend on buying their products, that when I send them an email, asking if I can get some decals to display on my kayak, (Which is free advertising for their companies), they either don't respond or send me a link to where I can purchase their stickers! Yak-Attack was the ONLY company to respond and asked for my mailing address to send something, but they never arrived and never responded to my follow-up emails ![]() What REALLY got me was after spending almost $7,000 on kayaks and Hobie products, I asked my local Hobie dealer if I could get a nice window decal to proudly display on my truck? He told me he didn't know where to get anything like that. I guess the days of free swag are long gone! LOL |

Sean, Understand your frustration. As a Hobie Team member, I have some extras I have saved from over the years that do not say "Team Member," but are just "Hobie Kayak" stickers. We are glad to have you as part of the Hobie Fishng family. You are about to become a true kayak-fishing addict. If you don't mind posting your mailing address on this forum, I will send you a couple of those extra stickers. Members of this forum are a great bunch and an incredible source of information. Just my way of saying, welcome, and sorry your local dealer didn't offer a better response. Oldguysrule (CO) |

Sean, My experience has been with the Hobie dealers in SWFL, is that they don't/can't discount anything Hobie, whether its a kayak or accessory. What's a few stickers for the cost of two Hobies, right? I also own some Jackson kayaks, that dealer gave me 2 Bending Branches paddles at no cost at the time of delivery. Maybe it just depends on the dealer... I have found when ordering product online from YakAttack, YakGear, Mariner Sails, Hook1, etc, I always leave a comment on the order that their stickers would look great on my kayak, cooler, etc. Most of the time, I end up with stickers. It can be a gamble, but it never hurts to ask. |
