Hi all. I'm the proud new owner of a outback and want to install an anchor trolley on it. I've seen a bunch of them, and was wondering why the Hobie instructions state to put the cheek blocks 12 inches from the bow and stern?

I would really like it to be close to the bow and stern so the waves come as straight as possible. Especially since I'm not always in the calmest waters and I get sea sick (love that Dramamine).

I think that is about as close as we could place the inserts to the bow or reach inside for the backing nuts and washers on older models.

thanks for the reply. i'll probably put them close to the bow and stern since it's easy to reach on the outback.
