Two new Hobie Rod Holders. One that fits into our molded-in rod holders and works as a fully adjustable extension. The other clamps to H-Rails.

Rod Tube Angle Adjustment
The rod tube can be adjusted for optimal trolling angle or storage position.

Reel Holder
The reel holder at the top can be rotated or removed to allow for different styles of reels and angles of trolling.

Gimble Pin
The adjustable rod holder assembly comes with a gimble pin installed at the base. You can remove the pin with a flat head screwdriver if you do not want to use this feature.

For 72020074: Anchor Straps
The provided anchor straps not only keep the rod holders tethered to the boat, but also prevent them from rotating if you are trolling.

They look pretty damned good. Looks like someone put a fair bit of thought into these. Looking forward to taking a closer look

These look sweet. I'm calling my dealer now to get one of each to hopefully try out later today. As I look at it it's hard to not be annoyed with the rod extension I got for this purpose when I bought my boat just a month ago. Making it adjustable, AND adding the straps and hooks, will make for an extension holder that is actually usable.

We received them recently at SLH. I'm very impressed with both, especially the H-Rail rod holder. As far as I'm concerned thats the best all-round rod holder on the market right now, and nothing else even comes close. I know most will assume that it's only going to work on Pro Angler's due to the included H-Rail system, but I've some up with a way to install to the AI (and would work on any model) that is going to work every bit (if not more) effective than the bullhorn rod holder that I keep falling back on. Just waiting on PA H-Rail upgrade kits to arrive so we can get to work. Will update here with a few photos when we're done

I bought both the new H-Rail and rod extension rod holders. They are great except that they were almost impossible to rotate until I loosened the hex nut that secures them too tightly in place. I was advised to force them to rotate until they wore down the teeth enough to move freely. Uh, no - I didn't do that. It took an impact driver to loosen the hex nut but once that was done I properly tensioned it and now they work fine. The straps to secure the rod extension holder are needed and keep it all in place for trolling. I'm using it on the H-rail rod holder as well but this may be over-kill for my usually fresh water fishing.
