New to the forums, really enjoy all the info and adventures I see and read about here.
Thought I would share the maiden voyage of my new Outback Limited Edition.
I wanted to go offshore fishing but the winds in South Florida are too much right now. Decided to do some inshore fishing instead, chose Ft. Pierce, Florida for my first trip. I have rented and chartered Hobie's for recreation and fishing before but never owned one. Decided to jump in with the Limited Edition
Really love the large rudder, turbo fins, square hatch and the orange color. The fishing was ok, not the best as I was getting use to the boat, trying to watch for the shallows so my fins or rudder didn't beach (which they did). Tried to stand while sight fishing (no issues with standing other than wishing I had a stake out pole), trying to get my sea legs. All in all, a great time. Caught a Snook, couldn't get the Red fish I found to take anything I passed in front of him, caught about 15 Lady Fish (some were a really nice size and they are fun to catch) and for some reason I couldn't avoid the puffer fish
I only manage to take a few pictures as I was so pre occupied with getting use to the kayak, fishing, knowing where I was going, etc.
